It’s still settling in…I’ve done some housekeeping, changed my email and text message signature to reflect the victory, bought some shirts to mail off to my extended family Nation members, still in search of the Locker-Room Cap…stayed up until about 2 because the adrenalin rush I got when I saw Gagne get up in the bullpen kept me awake!
Definitely a little different this time, 2004 was the an incredible experience, almost a ” where did that come from” kind of thing, especially after the now-legendary Yankee victory in the ALCS. This time, they were the best team in all of baseball, all season, the other shoe never dropped no matter how long you might have waited for it. Granted, anything can happen in the playoffs, like a sweep in the Series, but there was never a question that we belonged there, we would be there, and we will be back. I am a Happy Fan…
Now…let’s talk about this free sofa set you guys have now…and what kind of Christmas Jessi and I can expect to have thanks to this unexpected influx of cash…
