Drear

Man…drear, drear and more drear. Rain or snow, a sky covered in clouds–whatever, it’s awful.

I’ve been sleeping an average of one to two hours every evening, between 5pm and 9pm (I work 8am-4pm). I then sleep a full seven hours. It’s a particularly odd situation for me since I spent the last fifteen years being unable to sleep well at all.

I’m pretty sure it’s a mild case of season affective disorder. I’m not really depressed–no more than anyone is during weather like this–but I am exhausted all the time.

OK…just had to vent for a second.

I have to take a knap from 6-7 every night. I just fall asleep. Cant fight it, it just happens.

  2. I hear that! I wish I could grab a nap every day. I too have found myself getting sleepy towards the end of my work days this winter. No idea why, but by the time I get home, I get a second wind and am up very late. Oh wait… I think it must be the 5 hours sleep I get every night.

Oh wells… I still miss the college days when I could take my afternoon nap before dinner… those were the days indeed!

  3. Seriously though… even on nights where I do get normal amounts of sleep, I still hit that wall the next day.

As soon as the weather gets nice out, as soon as the sun hits me in the morning, im awake, wide eyed and bushy tailed and I dont stop until 10 or 11 the next night. Right now, all I want to do is crawl back into bed and be left alone. No matter how much sleep I get, I dont want to wake up. After reading up on wikipedia about this, Jason, you are absouletly onto something. I used to joke about it, but right now, im not so sure its more then a joke…

  5. Just thinking about tomorrow.
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow.
When I’m stuck with a day. That’s grey. And Lonely.
I just stick out my chin.
    And grin.
    And sayyyyyy….. Ohhhhhhh
    Tomorrow. Tomorrow.

I dont know that one. And if I get a cat suit that big, im going for the full out Wookie costume. How about Les Miserables two man revue?

  11. A Wookie Costume!!! That settles it. We’ll reenact The Star Wars Holiday Spectacular. You can be Chewie. I’ll be Bea Arthur. Now we just gotta’ start boning up on Jefferson Starship.
